i just finished up my 1970 ariens this morning and took these photos. I ended up taking the entire snowblower and engine apart, sandblasted every part, primed, repainted, and. 1970's ariens snow blower, 6 hp, had the first snow of the season and as usual i never put it away properly nor try it before the winter season starts. Running the ariens brought back a lot of memories. Yes it has electric start;. first start in like 10 years it looks like its never been used still has tons on compression. An actually good tecumseh 6 hp! old 1970's ariens snow blower tackles winter storm! Got through blizzard of 1978, and this too! 10000 series has chains like jacob marley! Less safety features than a gun. aug 9, 2015 · it is a somewhat desirable 10000 series (either 1973/1974) with the drive clutch located near the ariens nameplate (the earlier 10000 series had it by the engine).
